Aqua Anniversary
My best friend and her husband are celebrating their wedding anniversary today. I created this simple card to give to them to mark the occasion.
I started with Papertrey Ink’s Fillable Frames # 4 die and matching stamp set. I used the die to cut a cream panel, then stamped the matching frame on the panel using Hawaiian Shores ink. I wanted a sentiment that was a little bolder and larger than the anniversary one that came in the set, so I found another one in this year’s anniversary set. I accented the stamped image panel with a single aqua button, tied with a twine bow.
I used a piece of Basic Grey’s Kraft Basics designer paper to make a panel for the cardfront. I layered the panel on a piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock, then on an Aqua Mist card base. Before attaching the stamped panel, I ran a strip of ribbon from the top of the card down the front. The stamped panel is attached to the card, covering the bottom end of the ribbon. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out and I think I'm going to try this layout again with a different color scheme, sentiment and embellishments . . .
Materials Used:
Fillable Frames # 4 and Round and Round stamp sets, Hawaiian Shores ink, Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist cardstock, Hawaiian Shores grosgrain ribbon, Hawaiian Shores button, Fillable Frames # 4 die, twine (Papertrey Ink); Very Vanilla cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Kraft Basics designer paper (Basic Grey); foam tape
