Simple Scene with Petals and Stems

I made this clean and simple, almost one layer card for a combination of Verve's latest Ready, Set, Stamp challenge and one of the SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenges. The Petals and Stems set is perfect for creating a simple scene in no time at all.

I started with the green stem, then added the red flower for a bright pop of color. The butterfly was stamped above the flower in yellow, then stamped a second time on vellum. After the ink dried, I cut out the butterfly and attached to the stamped image at the center, then folded up the wings for some dimension.

To ground the flower, I added a border punched strip of green grass. The grass is accented with a pretty yellow button-embellished bow. The set's sentiment is stamped underneath the strip of grass, bringing in just a little more red to finish a fresh, fun summer card.

Materials Used:
Petals and Stems stamp set (Verve Stamps); Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss ink, Kiwi Kiss cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Straw ink (Vivid); white cardstock (Xerox); vellum (The Paper Company); Harvest Gold grosgrain ribbon, Harvest Gold buttons, twine (Papertrey Ink); grass border punch (Martha Stewart)
