Zoom
Here’s my card for the latest challenge at All Things Unity. I paired the challenge sketch with images from the Sketchy Little Boy kit for this fun card.
I stamped the rocket image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. The image is cut out and placed on a dark blue panel using foam tape. I added some Glossy Accents to the rocket’s big round window for a glass-like look (and remembered to set the image down flat to dry so the un-set liquid didn’t slide down my image—learned that the hard way recently . . .). Some pieces of crystal flourish are attached underneath the rocket for a sparkly flame-like look. I may go back and color them with a Copic marker.
I used some star patterned paper for the large panel underneath the rocket and “sky.” The kit’s “zoom” sentiment is stamped directly on the patterned paper—it worked pretty well since the pattern’s not too busy. I attached a strip of gold faux suede ribbon along the right side of the card and secured it in place with some machine stitching.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Unity Stamp Co. Sketchy Little Boy kit, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Couture Cardstock medium weight white Copic blending cardstock, Copic markers (R12, R22, R24, R27, Y21, Y23, Y26, YR24, B000), Ranger Glossy Accents, Zva Creative clear crystal flourish, Three Bugs in a Rug Playtime Stars designer paper, May Arts antique gold faux suede ribbon
other: Not Quite Navy and More Mustard cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); foam tape; sewing machine
