Autumn Blessings

Here’s another card featuring images from Happy Fall, this month’s Stamp of the Month from Clear and Simple Stamps. Don’t forget that through the end of this month, you can use the code CSS1110 to get a $1 discount on your purchase of this pretty set.

I went clean and simple on this one, creating a simple scene by combining several elements from the set. I stamped the treetop image a second time on a scrap of white cardstock, then colored in the leaves on just a portion of the image. I used a circle punch to punch out the colored section. The punched circle is layered on an Espresso Your Style circle, then set in place on the scene. This spotlighting technique is an easy way to get a “wow” look on a card.

I layered the image panel on an Espresso Your Style mat to match the circle behind the colored portion of the image. The scene is attached to the white card base with foam tape.

Materials Used:
Happy Fall stamp set, Espresso Your Style and A Blanc Check cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Rich Cocoa ink (Memento); markers (Copic-R12, R22, R24, R27, Y11, Y13, Y15, YR12, YR15, YR16, E34, E35, E37); circle punches (EK Success); foam tape

  2. Hi Lori,

This one is sooo much fun! Love how you colored only one part of the tree and that part really splashes! I like it a lot!

    Hugs, wendy
