Warm Wishes

Here's my card for this week's SCS clean and simple challenge. This week's challenge was a color challenge using soft pink, olive, kraft, and white, with the option of adding Marina Mist. I got all five colors in on this very simple winter themed card.

I used images from Verve's new Winter Mittens set for my card. I stamped the mitten pair in brown ink on a white strip with rounded edges. The mittens are colored with pink and olive Copic markers. The sentiment is set so the end nestles under the mitten pair.

I layered the mitten panel on a larger panel of pale pink paper with a subtle striped pattern. The edges of the panel are rounded, too, to match the image panel I attached the panel to a kraft card base. To get in a tiny bit of the blue, I cut a snowflake from a piece of felt. I attached an olive button to the center, tied with a pink baker's twine bow. The snowflake is set at the upper right corner of the patterned paper panel.
