Rotten

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. This week’s theme was “cooking up some love.” I don’t do much cooking (it’s just not worth it to spend all that time and effort for just myself—especially when I could be stamping—LOL!), but I do have some food-themed images in my collection. I went with Who’s that Harvesting Girl for this fun card.

I stamped the girl with her basket, adding the apples inside, and colored the image with Copic markers. I carefully cut around the border and layered it on a golden yellow panel. I slipped a ribbon tab underneath the panel and added a button with some baker’s twine tied through it to anchor the tab.

I found some apple patterned paper in my collection for the panel on the top of the card. I attached the paper at the top of the green card base, then added the image panel. The “that’s just rotten” sentiment fit nicely next to the image.

Materials Used:
Who’s that Harvesting Girl stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Couture Cardstock); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Pear Pizzazz cardstock, So Saffron grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); Sweet Corn cardstock (Gina K Designs); Autumn Afternoon-A Is for Apple designer paper (Scribble Scrabble); button (Papertrey Ink); baker’s twine
