'Sup?

The adventurous and adorable dog images in the new Snowy Days set from There She Goes totally make me think of my very own Chloe the cutie puppy. She’s absolutely fearless and will do just about anything—like carefully balance on the toilet lid to yank tissues from the tissue box or take a flying leap over the back of the sofa for a quick escape. I could totally see her snowboarding if she could. I’m looking forward to seeing her play in the snow, but hopefully we won’t have as snowy a winter as the last one . . .

I put the set to use for this week’s TSG challenge to make a scene combined with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch for this fun wintery card. I made a snowy background for the airborn pup using some torn shimmery white paper at the bottom of the circle panel and a sponged in cloudy blue sky at the top. For some sparkle, I added a line of glitter along the top of the shimmery white paper, kind of like the snow is glistening in the sun. The pup was stamped on a scrap of white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, cut out, and added to the scene with foam tape.

I used two different patterns from a DCWV winter pack to cover the cardfront. A strip of light blue satin ribbon hides the seam between the two papers. I attached the scene to a contrasting blue panel before layering it on to the cardfront. Keeping with my mostly monochromatic color scheme, the set’s “’Sup?” sentiment is attached on a light blue tab and accented with two silver brads.
