Let It Snow

Here's my card for this week's Our Craft Lounge sketch challenge. As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew just what I wanted to do.

I used the mitten pair and wintery hat from the Penguin Fun set for the three elements on the scalloped panel. They're not exactly "hanging" down like the elements in the sketch, but the mittens are connected by some red baker's twine. Kate's just started carrying Divine Twine's baker's twine at i {heart} papers and it's just that--divine. Can't wait to get it in more colors! My mittens and hat are paper pieced with a dotted pattern from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather mini deck and edged with a little Sugar Sparkly Fluff.

The rest of the card is pretty simple. The winter wear is set on a scalloped rectangle panel that's made from a combination of Baja Breeze cardstock and a plaid pattern from the Mitten Weather mini deck. I stamped the "let it snow" sentiment directly on the Baja Breeze part, then attached the panel to a dotted aqua panel (again from the Mitten Weather mini deck) that's set on a white card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Our Craft Lounge Penguin Fun stamp set and Sugar Sparkly Fluff, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather Mini deck, Spellbinders big scalloped rectangle die, Zva Creative dimensional dots, Divine Twine Cherry Red baker's twine

other: Baja Breeze cardstock (Stampin' Up!); white cardstock (Georgia Pacific)
