Paper Craft Planet Saturday Sketch

Merry Christmas! I’m excited to be bringing you this week’s Paper Craft Planet sketch challenge. I bet lots of people got some new crafting goodies and can’t wait to try them out. So, here’s your chance!

Here’s this week’s sketch. It’s a pretty simple one that can have either a sentiment or an image as the focal point. Feel free to change the shape of the panel, especially if you got a new die cutting machine—or new shaped dies—for the holiday. You can also replace the circle element with any shape embellishment.

Here’s my sample to get you started using one of my favorite color schemes, aqua, brown, and red, with a little kraft thrown in, too. It features a small cup of coffee from Papertrey Ink's Warm Happiness Too set as the focal image with the coordinating sentiment stamped underneath. The coffee cup is set on a Labels 9 panel.

I attached a fun, dotted paper in the same color scheme to the kraft card base, then added on the image panel. A small red felt heart with an aqua button finishes the design.

And, in case you need a little more inspiration, here’s another sample that I posted to my blog earlier this week using the same sketch.

Be sure to add the link to your creation using this sketch to the Linky Tools widget found here on the Paper Craft Planet blog so we can all check them out. You can also add your project to the Paper Craft Planet gallery using the keyword sk122510. If you use that tag, I can add it to the album with the rest of this week's creations. Happy holidays and happy crafting!
