Perk Up
Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I went with a different color palette for me—browns and greens. I really like how it turned out.
I used the Miss You a Latte a la mode set as the focal image. The coffee-toting girl is colored with Copic markers. It was a challenge for me to color the small spaces in this image with my markers—LOL! I stamped the cheer up sentiment along the side of the image.
The rest of the card is done in shades of green and brown. I used a kraft card base and kraft mat for my image. I paired a piece of PTI’s Distressed Dots paper with some Ripe Avocado cardstock to cover most of the cardfront. A strip of Spring Moss ribbon runs down the length of the card. I used a Spellbinders Lacey Circles die to cut the decorative panel that’s slipped behind the image. The fancy scalloped edges are such a pretty detail!
Materials Used:
Miss You a Latte la mode stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Couture Cardstock); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss, and Kraft cardstock, Distressed Dots patterned paper, Spring Moss grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Lacey Circles die (Spellbinders)
