I cut the cupcake tops (cake and icing, I guess) from felt and set them aside. For the bottom, I wanted the look of a foil cupcake liner, so I made my own by using the die to cut a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil. I ran the cut shape through my crimper, then stretched it out a little. It worked perfectly! The pieces are attached to the round panel using ScorTape. I added a little button "cherry" to the cupcake's top to dress it up a little.The rest of the card came together quickly using this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I paired the cupcake with PTI's Happy Spots patterned paper. I matted the patterned paper panel on a brown mat, then machine stitched around the edges to add some interest. The "celebrate" sentiment from the Fillable Frames #5 set is stamped in brown ink on a pink double-ended banner die strip. It stretches across the cardfront and the cupcake panel is layered over it. Too sweet--so sweet, in fact, that Chloe the cutie puppy snagged it from the table before I was able to take a picture of the finished card. Fortunately I was able to convince (or bribe her with a treat) to relinquish the card before she did much damage. Once again, I'll say that puppy' s lucky she's so darn cute . . .
