Frosties Fun

Here's my card for both today's SCS featured stamper challenge and the first challenge at the new Lawnscaping blog. I took the inspiration for my design from this wintery card here.

I used Lawn Fawn's Frosties set on the card's circle panel. I stamped the snowflakes in white, then covered them with clear embossing powder and heat embossed them. I rubbed some Tumbled Glass distress ink over them to make the white embossed flakes pop.

The square panel also uses an embossing technique. Here, I ran a white panel through my Big Shot to get an embossed snowflake panel. I rubbed the same ink over the panel, this time highlighting the debossed flakes.

All of the panels, including the sentiment, are matted on shimmery silver paper for some wintery sparkle. I cut a snowflake from soft blue felt and added some crystals at the ends and a white snowflake button to the center to dress it up.

Materials Used:
Frosties stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Pacific Point Classic ink, Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Tumbled Glass distress ink, inking tool (Ranger); silver cardstock (Recollections); circle dies (Spellbinders); snowflake Cutups die, blue felt (The Cat's Pajamas); Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug); snowflake button (Blumenthal Lansing); baker's twine (Timeless Twine); clear crystals (Imaginisce)
