Introducing Fun Fungi

Happy New Year! It's a big day at our house as we prepare to watch two of our favorite teams from two different sports play in two of the biggest sporting events of the year. We'll start off by cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers in the "grand-daddy of them all," the Rose Bowl. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and hockey's Winter Classic will go on as scheduled in the evening so we can cheer for the Washington Capitals, too. I'll be back later on today with a photo of Chloe the cutie puppy dressed in her Badger gear for the football game.

I'm excited to share the very first 2011 release from Clear and Simple Stamps. The new Fun Fungi set is a great one for creating masculine cards. And, be sure to check out the Fun Fungi II set for more coordinating images and sentiments.
Here's my simple but sweet Valentine's Day card featuring the new set. I stamped the set's largest mushroom image on a white panel and colored it with warm gray Copic markers. It's set on a black mat, then on a You're Such a Gray-cious Host card base. I added the "I am all mush around you" sentiment on red strip with a notched end. The opposite end of the panel is faux stitched to the image panel for a fun touch. A small red felt heart with a black button accents the image.
