Love You Very Muchly
Here’s my card for this week’s TCP Tuesday inspiration challenge. I took my inspiration from the bright stripes on the knit cap in the inspiration photo.
I used the sweet girl image from the TCP Merry Wishes set as my focal image. She’s paper pieced using some October Afternoon designer paper and some solid cardstock scraps. Her hat has a little fluff to it, too, courtesy of some white flock, and the heart in her hand is sparkled up with some Stickles.
The rest of the card’s pretty simple. I used another pattern from the same OA line for the panel that runs down the left side of the card. I edged the panel with a rose strip die cut with the apron border Cutups die. The little girl is layered on to a pale pink circle using foam tape. I added a rosy pink scalloped felt heart with a button embellishment at the edge of the circle and positioned the sentiment right underneath her feet. The button embellishment works for this week's challenge at the new Do You Stack Up? challenge blog--be sure to check it out.
Materials Used:
Merry Wishes stamp set, Apron Border Cutups die, pink felt, pink Divine Twine (The Cat’s Pajamas); white cardstock (X-Press); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Ducks in a Row designer paper (October Afternoon); circle die (Spellbinders); scalloped heart die (My Favorite Things); Cotton Candy Stickles (Ranger); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape; button
