Sending You My Love

Here's my card for this week's Our Craft Lounge challenge. This week's challenge is a supply challenge to use two or more ribbons or trims on your card. I tried for three, but in the end, I used two different kinds of trims on this simple card.

I created a perfect for Valentine's Day card in not so traditional Valentine's Day colors using the mailbox image from OCL's new Sending Love set as the focal image. The image is colored with Copic markers and I drew in a little grass at the base of the mailbox.

The mailbox is set on a green gingham panel from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl mini deck. The panel is machine stitched around the edge to add a little interest. I ran a strip of green corduroy ribbon across the panel to add some texture. Since the ribbon's kind of thick, I used thick dimensional dots to secure the image to the patterned paper panel. Once the image was in place, I added a green button, tied with some red baker's twine, at the bottom left corner of the image panel. The coordinating "sending you my love" sentiment is stamped in black ink just below the patterned paper panel.
