Love You Beyond Measure

Here’s my card for this week’s There She Goes challenge. The challenge was a recipe—3 patterned papers, 2 buttons, and 1 sparkly element. It took me a while to figure the patterned paper part out, but once I had that decided on, this card came together quickly.

I couldn’t let Valentine’s Day pass without posting a card using TSG’s Chemistry set—I love the images and fun sentiments! I stamped the three beakers (or whatever the correct scientific term is for these containers) on a panel of cream ledger patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket’s The Boyfriend line. The subtle lines add interest, but are still light enough to let the image stand out. I colored it a little with Copic markers and added some Stickles (my sparkly element) to the heart.

I used two other patterned papers from Crate Paper’s School Spirit line for the cardfront. I used a ruler-looking pattern for the strip on the left and an aqua one for the panel that covers most of the kraft card base. Both have machine stitching around the edges to add interest. A strip of natural twill runs down the ruler patterned paper. I accented the twill with a pair of coordinating buttons, then added the image panel. The coordinating sentiment is stamped just below the image panel. Recipe completed!
