The Sky's the Limit
Here's a bright, cheery card for today's Papertrey Ink release contest/challenge to use buttons on your creation. I combined the challenge with the colors in Heather's first Totally Hues challenge. I love Heather's eye for color and the ones she picked for this challenge are great. They're pretty bright and bold, but I'm not one to shy away from those kinds of colors. They worked really nicely together here.
I used one of the hot air balloons from the Up, Up & Away set for the focal image. All four of the challenge colors--Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Harvest Gold, and Simply Chartreuse--are represented on the Copic-colored balloon. I added it and two die cut felt clouds to a Hawaiian Shores panel, then stamped the "the sky is the limit" sentiment in the open space at the bottom of the panel.
The simple scene is set on a Hibiscus Burst panel, then on a Simply Chartreuse card base. I ran a strip of Harvest Gold cardstock along the right side of the card. It's got a row of paper piercing to add some interest. A pretty Harvest Gold button-embellished bow, set up in a corner, kind of like a funky-shaped sun, finishes things off.
