I was inspired by sketch #56 to make a watery scene using the wave CutUps die and the Whale of a Time set—they’re a perfect pair! I made layered waves using two pieces of dotted patterned paper that I cut using my wave die. The bottom piece is attached directly to the aqua panel and the top piece is attached with some foam tape for a little dimension.

He’s nestled in the waves using more foam tape. I added some felt clouds to the sky to fill in the open space and add some texture. For a sentiment, I used foam Thickers to spell out “ahoy” along the bottom of one of the wavy panels. It may not have made the cut for the magazine, but I still think it's pretty cute!
