Happy Bear-thday

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge is brought to us by Susan. She's challenging us to use an image with flowers on our projects. I had only one--that's right, one--TCP set with flowers, so PJ the Bear it is. Since yesterday was my birthday, I went with a birthday theme on this bright card.

I stamped PJ and the flower, both from the A Beary Good Year set, on white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers, then cut out the colored image. I stamped the flower a second time so I could cut it out and layer it over the image with foam tape for a dimensional look. The flower's center is covered with some Stickles (note to self--need a bottle of orange so you don't have to cover something orange with yellow glitter . . .).

I used a bright orange and yellow color scheme for the card to match the colors of the flower. A trendy chevron pattern is behind the image, knotted with a piece of matching grosgrain ribbon. I used a yellow pattern to cover the cardfront so I could stamp my sentiment directly on the paper. It's curved to fit just right around the edge of the image panel.

Don't miss your chance to win the weekly Cat Cash prize
awarded to one lucky participant who adds their creation for the challenge to the guestbook on Alma's blog--or the chance to be honored as the next Swanky Stamper. And, Alma will be sharing links to the Cat Pack's creations on her blog all week, so be sure to check in regularly for some eye candy and inspiration.
