Me + You

Here's my card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to use buttons and twine. I paired my buttons and twine with some new stamps from Market Street Stamps.

I started by stamping the Vintage Notepad background stamp in turquoise ink on a white panel. I love Market Street's background stamps--they cover an entire cardfront, so they're super easy to use! After stamping the image, I inked the panel's edges with some distress ink and used a notebook edge punch to make notches along the top of the panel.

I stamped the "me+you=" sentiment from Simple Joys on the notebook patterned panel in red ink on an angle. A length of red baker's twine is wrapped around the panel several times, just underneath the sentiment. A big turquoise heart button sits just under the "equation." It's threaded with the same baker's twine to tie everything together. I placed the finished panel on an angle on the kraft card base for a nice contrast.

Materials Used:
Vintage Notepad and Simple Joys stamp sets (Market Street Stamps); white cardstock (Xerox); Tempting Turquoise and Riding Hood Red Classic inks, Crumb Cake cardstock, notebook edge punch (Stampin' Up!); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Pure Poppy baker's twine (Papertrey Ink); heart button (Blumenthal Lansing); foam tape
