On Cloud Nine
**Don't miss my The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek post here!***
Here’s a quick, scrappy card for today’s SCS sketch challenge. I used the new rainbow and cloud dies from Lil’ Inker Designs plus the matching stamp set in a somewhat loose interpretation of the sketch.
I flipped the sketch on its side to accommodate the rainbow’s bands, allowing it to make a half-circle like the sketch called for. Each band was die cut twice and overlapped just a bit to make the full rainbow. I added a pair of die cut white felt clouds at the top, hiding the seam between the rainbow pieces.
For the sketch's small circle element, I used a yellow button tied with a little baker's twine to make a sun. The set's "on cloud nine" sentiment is stamped in red ink inside the rainbow. The pieces are set on a light blue dot embossed panel, then on a white card base.
Materials Used:
Rainbow and Clouds stamp set and dies (Lil’ Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black and Ladybug inks (Tsukineko); Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Polka Dot embossing folder (QuicKutz); white felt; foam tape
