Tee-Riffic Dad

As promised yesterday, here's one more Father's Day card. It's a clean and simple design, inspired by both this week's CAS-ual Friday challenge to use colorblocking and this week's Clean and Simple Stamping sketch, flipped on its side.

I started by creating a monochromatic blue colorblocked panel, arranged on a white mat and layered on a mat made from the "middle" shade of blue. For the sentiment panel, I combined sentiments from two different Clear and Simple Stamps sets--"dad" from Dad and Me and "you are tee-riffic" from Golf Pro. They're stamped in dark blue ink on a light blue panel. I used strategically placed glue dots to attach a wooden golf tee to the panel's end as a simple accent. After attaching the sentiment panel to the colorblocked panel, I used foam tape to attach the panel to a white card base. With it's bold colors and clean, uncluttered design, this makes a great masculine card.

Materials Used:
Dad and Me and Golf Pro stamp sets, True Blue Fan ink, True Blue Fan, Your Style Blue Me Away, Trendsetter Blue, and A Blanc Check cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); golf tee; foam tape
