I started with the set’s leafy branch image and added the nest, then did a little masking to add the baby bird peeking out of the cracked eggshell. The shell’s a two-step image, so I stamped the outline in Party Teal Dawn ink, then went back and filled in the outline with the solid image in Trendsetter Blue. The open parts of the images (the bird and leaves) were colored with Copic markers. I used a cloud template and Trendsetter Blue ink to sponge in a soft blue sky background around the image. I stamped the “welcome little one” sentiment on the panel in Paint the Town Pink ink, nesting it underneath the leafy branch.
The rest of the card uses coordinating shades of soft pink and blue. I used a strip of heart patterned paper underneath the image and accented it with a piece of satin ribbon and a blue scalloped strip. Once I set the image panel in place, I added a Trendsetter Blue button, tied with pink baker’s twine, at one corner and a white felt cloud at the opposite corner.
