Aloha, Dude

This week’s Our Craft Lounge challenge is a great sketch. I went with the Kona set for this summer themed card.

Kona and his surfboard are colored with Copic markers. I added in a soft blue airbrushed sky behind him before layering the image on an orange scalloped rectangle mat. I used two different patterned papers from Echo Park’s Splash pad for the cardfront—a wavy patterned one for the large panel behind the image and a sunshine-like striped one for the panel that runs across the cardfront. After setting the pieces in place, I stamped the “aloha dude” sentiment in Bahama Blue ink on a white circle, matted it on a coordinating turquoise circle, and attached it to the cardfront with dimensional dots.

You can find all the details about this week’s OCL challenge here. One participant from each month’s entries will win their choice of an OCL set, so you don’t want to miss out. And, we’re also having a guest DT call, so be sure to check out this post for all the info if you’d like to join us.
