Hooray

Here’s my card for this month’s Market Street Stamps sketch challenge. I really wanted to use my Vintage Notepad background stamp, so I changed up the orientation of the card to fit the stamp, but otherwise stuck to the sketch.

I stamped that notepaper stamp in blue chalk ink on a white panel, then layered it on a kraft mat. I stamped the “hooray” sentiment from the Simple Joys set in red at the lower right corner of the panel. A strip of red ribbon runs along the left side of the card. A trio of different size and color star buttons is arranged at the top of the ribbon, making a cheerful accent. I layered the panel on a blue card base to wrap things up—quick, but super bright and celebratory.

Materials Used:
Vintage Notepad and Simple Joys stamp sets (Market Street Stamps); Riding Hood Red Classic ink, Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Hawaiian Shores cardstock, twine (Papertrey Ink); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); star buttons (Blumenthal Lansing)
