Glam Girl

I’ve had fun playing around with the images in the Beauty Secrets II stamp set from Clear and Simple Stamps. For this card, I made my own eye shadow compact to go with one of the set’s makeup brush images.

The compact is a piece of kraft cardstock with a rectangle shaped window cut out of it. I backed the cutout part with a piece of acetate, just like the clear cover you see on cosmetic packaging. For the eyeshadow, I attached strips of shimmery cardstock inside the folded panel.

The card is built around my little compact. I used the set’s text block image to repeatedly stamp over the pink panel in matching pink ink. After edging the panel with a scallop edged strip, I set it on a white card base and added the compact on top. One of the set’s makeup brush images was colored with Copic markers, cut out, and added to the cardfront with foam tape. The “glam girl” sentiment from the Glam Girl set is stamped beneath the compact. A pair of clear crystals completes the super girly design.
