Let Your Heart Be Your Guide
I love this new little compass set from Market Street Stamps. I inked it up for the latest Market Street color challenge to use ruby red, turquoise, and dusty gray.
The compass image is stamped in gray ink. I cut it out with a circle die, then stamped the image a second time and used a circle punch to punch out the center of the image. After coloring the heart and covering it with glitter, I used foam tape to attach it to the rest of the compass. The compass image is matted on gray cardstock
After edging the bottom with a paper pierced turquoise strip, I attached a piece of gray on gray striped paper to the bottom of a white card base. A strip of red ribbon runs from the top of the cardfront to near the bottom of the gray panel. I attached the compass image to the card, overlapping the red ribbon. I added a knotted piece of ribbon at the top of the compass as an accent. The set’s “let your heart be your guide” sentiment is stamped in turquoise ink in the open space on the striped panel. The bold pops of red and turquoise against the neutral white and gray work beautifully!
Materials Used:
Compass stamp set (Market Street Stamps); Memento London Fog ink (Tsukineko); white cardstock (Xerox); Tempting Turquoise Classic ink, Tempting Turquoise cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin’ Up!); You’re Such a Gray-cious Host cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Dots and Stripes patterned paper (Echo Park); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); circle dies (Spellbinders); circle punch (EK Success); foam tape
