Mmmmargaritas
Here’s my card for today’s SCS clean and simple challenge. This week’s challenge was a sketch with three layered narrow strips at the bottom. It’s so very hot here today that all I could think of most of the day was having a cool drink, so I made a paper one.
I made a simple beach scene by tearing strips of kraft cardstock and inking them along the torn edges with a little cream pigment ink. The strips are layered at the bottom of a blue embossed panel to make the beach. The drink image from the Tiki Time set from Market Street Stamps is colored with Copic markers and cut out. I added a little sparkly glitter to the rim for a sugar-like accent. The set’s “mmm-margaritas” sentiment is stamped on a little banner strip extending out from the margarita image. Clean, simple and refreshing—perfect for the end of a hot summer day!
Materials Used:
Tiki Time stamp set (Market Street Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin’ Up!); Vintage Cream ink, Simply Chartreuse cardstock, Sunshine impression plate (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
