Life Is a Balancing Act
Here's a super quick and simple card for today's SCS clean and simple challenge. Just a few stamped images combined with a few buttons and glue dots and I was done!
I flipped the placement of the image on the sketch from the left side of the card to the right to accommodate the elephant image from the Circus Fun set from Clear and Simple Stamps. The solid image was inked with gray ink (the elephant) and red (the little stool underneath it) and stamped directly on the cardfront. I used the set's coordinating line images to add details to the stool in black. The set's "life is a balancing act" sentiment is stamped next to the image.
Instead of stamping the set's circle image balanced atop the elephant's trunk, I arranged a line of five different color and size buttons, adhering them somewhat askew with glue dots. The last thing I did was add a small dot of black Enamel Accents to the elephant to make an eye. These two little things--the buttons and the Enamel Accents--add a lot to the simple design.
Materials Used:
Circus Fun stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress, Haute Red Couture, and You're Such a Gray-cious Host inks, A Blanc Check cardstock, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Your Style Blue Me Away, Green with Envy, VIP Purple, and Trendsetter Blue buttons (Clear and Simple Stamps); black Enamel Accents (Ranger)
