Blogger Challenge: Week 219

This week’s blogger challenge theme is “monochromatic blues.” I interpreted the theme pretty literally, creating a miss you themed card in shades of blue.

I used the bird and branch from the Clear and Simple Stamps Tweet Notes set as my focal image. The bird is colored with Copic markers and set on the branch with foam tape. I stamped a lone music note above it in True Blue Fan ink.

The bird is set on a colorblocked panel made with three of CSS’s blue cardstock shades. I set the bird image on the panel with foam tape, then stamped the “I miss you” sentiment in blue ink, curving it to match the image panel’s round shape.

For more ideas using this theme, check out the links below. If you join in the challenge, feel free to add your link to the list.

Materials Used:
Tweet Notes stamp set, True Blue Fan and Perfect Little Black Dress inks, True Blue Fan, Trendsetter Blue, Your Style Blue Me Away, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Copic markers (B000, B32, B34, B37), True Blue Fan satin ribbon (Clear and Simple Stamps); circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
