Blogger Challenge: Week 220

This week’s blogger challenge theme is “stars.” Stars made me think of space, so I came up with a space themed card featuring some star images.

I stamped the two solid star images from Our Craft Lounge’s new Beyond the Universe set randomly on a blue panel in silver ink to make a cosmic background. A pair of layered yellow half-circle panels is placed at the bottom of the panel to make a moon-like surface. I punched a few holes in the top circle for craters and sprayed it with a shimmer mist before using dimensional dots to attach it.

The set’s astronaut image is colored just a little with Copic markers and cut out, then added to the scene with dimensional dots. The visor on his helmet is coated with Glossy Accents for a glassy look. I found a little flag toothpick in my stash and thought it would be the perfect embellishment to place next to my astronaut. I stamped the set’s birthday sentiment on a red panel and attached it to the scene panel--don't know why it looks blurry here, must be a Blogger thing. It’s accented with a pair of silver star brads.
