Color Throwdown 163-Step Right Up

It’s time for this week’s Color Throwdown. I still can’t believe I’m part of this super talented team of stampers!! This week’s color combination comes from Barbara. She’s challenged us to use Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, and Early Espresso on our creations.

I’m still not ready to put away my new stamps from The Cat’s Pajamas and these colors seemed like they’d work perfectly with the release’s circus theme. So, here’s another card featuring images from the new release. Here, PJ Bear from the Step Right Up set takes center stage as the circus ringmaster. I colored him to match this week’s challenge colors. He’s set on a Baja Breeze-ish panel with a subtle chevron pattern.

To fill in the open space above PJ, I made a simple banner using little pennants made with the pennant strip found in the CutUps Easy Rosette die set The top of each strip is folded over a piece of red baker’s twine that I draped over the corner of the panel. Each strip is accented with a clear crystal. The set’s “step right up” sentiment finishes things off.
