Driving By

Here’s my card for this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. As soon as I saw the sketch, this idea popped into my head and it worked out pretty much just like I imagined it—love when that happens!

I used the car image from the Half Pint Heroes set to represent the round element at the bottom left side of the card. I stamped the image on a scrap of white cardstock, colored, it, cut it out, and used foam tape to set it on the card. The panel behind it is a piece of blue dotted paper for the sky with a solid gray panel at the bottom as the road. I stamped the set’s “driving by saying hi” sentiment at the bottom in white ink. For the sketch’s second circle element, I cut a fluffy cloud from white felt, then added a yellow button “sun.”

My latest Waltzingmouse order just arrived yesterday—yay! I’m hoping to find some time this weekend to put something together for the upcoming WMS Blog Waltz . . .

Half Pint Heroes stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist cardstock, Lemon Tart button (Papertrey Ink); Basic Gray cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (BoBunny); cloud die (Lil’ Inker Designs); yellow baker’s twine (Divine Twine); Silver Fox Smooch (Clearsnap); white felt; foam tape
