Here’s my take on the color challenge. I used this week’s Mojo Monday sketch along with two Paper Smooches sets for this sweet card.

I colored the elephant duo from the A Little Lovin set with Copic markers and cut them out, then used dimensional dots to attach them to a pair of layered circles. I used a delicate pink patterned paper from the Country Drive Collection Kit for the largest panel on the cardfront and placed solid cardstock strips on either side. A strip of cream ruffle edged trim runs along the right edge of the patterned paper panel.

To bring in a little more green, a piece of gingham patterned paper is set over the pink patterned panel. I set the image panel at the left edge of the gingham paper, then stamped the “hugs” sentiment from the Sentiment Sampler set in the open space. A piece of pink satin ribbon runs diagonally along the left corner of the card, just above the image panel. A matching bow, made with my Bow Easy, finishes it off. I don’t usually use two totally different kinds of trims on my cards (unless it’s some baker’s twine), but it worked nicely here.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the IHP team has created for the challenge. Here’s where to find them:
