Sneaky Peek Day Two and More

***Scroll down to see my i {heart} papers post!***
As promised, I have both another Sneaky Peek from The Cat’s Pajamas and an exciting announcement for today. First off, don't forget about the In It To Win It contest going on in the TCP forum on SCS. Just leave a comment here to be entered for a chance to win today's Sneaky Peek set. It's as simple as that!

Now on to the announcement: I’m thrilled to be joining the Color Throwdown team starting with today’s color challenge. I’ve been a guest designer for CTD in the past and I’m looking forward to being a regular with this talented group of ladies. There are a few other newbies joining today, so be sure to stop by the CTD blog to welcome them.
And, finally, here's what you're here for-- my Sneaky Peek using this week’s color combination from Tammy—Pool Party, Barely Banana, Early Espresso, and Creamy Caramel. I used the Bearing Gifts set to show off this pretty color combo.

The bear is colored with Copic markers in an Early Espresso-ish shade. I paper pieced the gift box using scraps of paper. I went with my old standby mix of stripes and dots. The image is cut out and set on a pale yellow oval with foam tape.

I used more of the same pattern from the gift box to make a large panel for the cardfront. After matting it on a coordinating panel, I attached a strip of Creamy Caramel cardstock along one side and machine stitched along the panel’s edge. Fortunately, the image panel hides my stitching malfunction (my machine does not like zig zag stitching—I may need to invest in yet another new machine . . .). I ran a strip of yellow ribbon along the caramel strip, adding a little button and baker's twine embellished piece just above the image panel. The set’s “is it time for presents, yet?” sentiment is stamped next to the image panel, curved to match the shape of the oval panel.

Be sure to stop by Alma’s blog for links to the rest of today’s Sneaky Peeks. And, don’t forget to leave a comment on the In It to Win It thread on SCS for a chance to win one of the new sets.
