Sending Smiles
Here's a fun card I made on World Card Making Day for both Lawn Fawn and Lawnscaping's WCMD challenges to make a card and send it. This one's on the way to my friend from high school. I received a Jewish new year card from her in the mail and thought I'd send this one back to her as a thank you.
I used Lawn Fawn's Hello Friend set for the focal image. The image was inked in red, except for the plane, which I inked in gray. I stamped the plane a second time, cut it out, and attached it to the panel with a dimensional dot.
I cut a strip of red dotted paper and set that on the right side of an aqua panel, then added the image panel over that. Two die cut felt clouds sit at the bottom of the panel. A piece of red striped twill, tied in the middle with a red button and some baker's twine, sits at the top of the panel. That button will probably make the card require some extra postage, but she's worth it!
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Hello Friend stamp set, Memento Lady Bug and London Fog inks, Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 paper pad, Spellbinders circle dies, May Arts red striped twill, Divine Twine Cherry Red baker's twine, Sticky Thumb dimensionals
other: Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Real Red and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); CutUps Cloud Border die (The Cat's Pajamas); white felt
