Blogger Challenge: Week 230

This week’s blogger challenge theme is for the boys. I used this week’s CPS sketch and the Beyond the Universe set from Our Craft Lounge for a fun card for a little boy.

I used the set’s spaceship image to represent the sketch’s oval element. The spaceship and its driver are colored with Copic markers. After cutting it out, I added a few coats of Glossy Accents to the ship’s bubble top for a glass-like look.

I used two different papers from October Afternoon’s Rocket Age pad for the card. I cut two strips of a yellow dot print for the panels underneath the spaceship. The panels have a few star brads scattered around them to add to the space theme. After matting them on yellow cardstock, I set them on a blue on blue dotted panel. The set’s birthday sentiment is stamped in black ink just above the yellow strips. I layered the panel on a navy mat, then set it on a blue card base.
