Floral Thank You
The latest Market Street Stamps Paint the Town color challenge includes a pretty trio of purples plus a soft green. The beautiful bouquet of flowers inspired me to make this simple floral thank you card.
I used one of the flowers from the So Happy set as my focal image. I stamped the stem in green ink on a pale lavender panel. The flower was stamped on a piece of white cardstock using purple ink, then colored with Copic markers. It's attached to the top of the stem with a dimensional dot.
I set it over a pale green panel wrapped with a little green baker's twine. A plum button secures the twine in place. The set's "thank you so much" sentiment is stamped on a half circle panel and layered on a dark purple mat (it looks more black in the photo, but it really is purple!). For one more little detail, I covered the flower's center with Glossy Accents for a shiny, dimensional look. I've learned from experience to leave that for last to reduce the chances of smearing the stuff all over my project . . .
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Market Street Stamps So Happy stamp set, Tsukineko Memento Grape Jelly and Bamboo Leaves inks, X-Press white Copic blending cardstock, Copic markers (V01, V12, V15), Divine Twine Green Apple baker's twine, Ranger Glossy Accents, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
other: Lavender Moon, Spring Moss, and Royal Velvet cardstock, Plum Pudding button (Papertrey Ink); circle punches (EK Success)
