Peace Out

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I used one of my new à la modes, Disco Queen, for this one.

The à la mode girlie is colored with Copic markers. Her disco ball is covered with glitter for a super sparkly look. I used foam tape to attach her to a tag I cut from red cardstock. The set's "peace out" sentiment is stamped in the open space next to the image.

I used a multi-colored chevron patterned paper to cover most of the cardfront underneath the tag. To break up the busy pattern a little, I attached a strip of solid orange cardstock near the center of the cardstock. The solid panel is edged with the same red grosgrain ribbon I tied at the top of the tag. It's kind of busy, but I think it still works.

Materials Used:
à la modes Disco Queen stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, and Brushed Silver cardstock, scallop edge punch, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin' Up!); So Sophie-"Best Thing" Red Chevron designer paper (My Mind's Eye); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); red baker's twine (Divine Twine) foam tape
