When All Else Fails . . .
This week’s Our Craft Lounge challenge is a sketch challenge. The sketch’s large panel was a perfect fit for the fun vintage-styled bathtub image from the Pretty and Pampered set.
The tub is stamped on a white panel and colored with Copic markers. The towel hanging over the tub’s edge is paper pieced with a scrap of striped patterned paper. I added some Glossy Accents and glitter to the bubbles cascading over the tub for a fun sparkle. I hand-drew an oval rug in the open space beneath the tub, outlining the shape with a fine-tipped black pen, then coloring it in with markers. Unfortunately, this is about the extent of my drawing abilities--LOL!
The tub is matted on a piece of rust cardstock, then set on an aqua cardfront covered with a panel of patterned paper with a subtle floral print. I stamped the sentiment on a white strip, then added it to the top of the image panel, accented with a piece of knotted turquoise ribbon.
You can find all the challenge details over on the OCL blog. There's a stamp set up for grabs for a randomly selected participant from this month's challenge entries, so be sure to check it out
