CSS Group Project: Color Me Orange

For this month’s group project, the Clear and Simple Stamps design team is focusing on this year’s color of the year, a fabulous vibrant orange that CSS calls Orange You Fabulous. Each participating design team member has created a project with orange as the focus.

I made a sweet baby card for the challenge. Orange is definitely the focal point here—I used it on my chevron patterned balloon (from the Special Bundle Extras set) and on the basket (from the Special Bundle set) hanging from the bottom of the balloon. For a fun touch, I paper pieced both the balloon and basket. The basket’s shaded a bit with warm gray Copic markers to add some depth to the image.

The pieces are attached to a Trendsetter Blue “sky” panel using foam tape. A few die cut felt clouds add texture to the scene. I stamped the “special delivery” sentiment on an orange strip and added that to the bottom of the scene. The panel is layered on an orange mat, then on a white card base.

Don’t miss what the rest of the CSS team has created for this month’s challenge. Here’s where to find them:
