Miss You Blue

***Scroll down to the post below (HERE) for my Our Craft Lounge/May Arts ribbon post--you don't want to miss out on your chance to win some great blog candy!***

This week's SCS clean and simple challenge was to use white and shades of blue. Thinking about shades of blue made me think of the traditional meaning of "the blues," so I put together this simple miss you card for the challenge using the Tweet Notes set from Clear and Simple Stamps.

I love the different shades of blue in CSS's color collection and here, I used three of them to make a trio of blue birds. The birds are cut out and stacked on a branch using foam tape. I stamped the set's "i miss you" sentiment in blue ink underneath the branch and added a single music note next to the birds. For some texture, I die cut a pair of white felt clouds to place next to the birds. I set the little scene on a blue card base for contrast. It's simple, but it gets the message across.

Materials Used:
Tweet Notes stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress and True Blue Fan inks, Trendsetter Blue, My Favorite Blue Jeans, Your Style Blue Me Away, and A Blanc Check cardstock, cloud die from Spring Simple Cuts die set (Clear and Simple Stamps); white felt; foam tape
