Blogger Challenge: Week 251

This week’s blogger challenge is black and white with a pop of color. I went with the traditional black, white, and red color combination for this simple card using several different stamp sets from Papertrey Ink.

I used one of the couch images from the On My Couch set as my focal image. I stamped the outline image first, then filled it in with one of the matching patterned images. After masking the couch with a sticky note, I added the rug beneath it. I used Versafine’s Onyx Black ink for the image to get the nice, deep, dark black image. I stamped the “I miss you” sentiment from the Chair-ished set beneath the couch in red ink and added a red heart to the couch. I tied a strip of red grosgrain ribbon around the panel, then set it on a red mat. It’s layered on a black panel, then set on the white card base.

  1. This is really nice. All the white in the background adds a nice emphasis to the focal image. I love that stamp set. It's been on my wish list forever.
