Happy Place

***Scroll down to the post below to see my post for the Tiddly Inks birthday celebration!***

Here’s my card for the current Paper Smooches Sparks inspiration challenge. The fruit-filled cones in the photo look both yummy and summery, so I tried to capture those feelings in my card using the Get Outta Town set along with the current Clean and Simple Stamping sketch.

I colored the pineapple drink image—it’s color and texture seemed similar to that of the cones in the photo—with Copic markers and cut it out. For some texture, I added Yellow Stickles to the lemon slice and a dot of Glossy Accents to the cherry.

I sifted through my cardstock scraps and found a bunch of already punched/cut circles in different sizes and colors. They’re arranged over a strip of patterned paper that I set on a white card base. I debated using a colored card base, but with so many colors from the circles, I decided to go with the plain white. I used a dimensional dot to set the colored and cut out image on the large orange circle at the center, then stamped the set’s “go to your happy place” sentiment underneath it in black ink.
