Blogger Challenge: Week 265

This week’s blogger challenge theme is graduation. I combined the current CPS sketch with some images from Clear and Simple Stamps for my graduation card.

I took a few liberties with my own high school’s colors to use as the basis for my card. I added a trio of green notch-ended strips to a navy blue card front. The strips are broken up by a white strip with the “Congratulations, you did it” sentiments from the All Occasions 1 set stamped on it in green.

To accent the sentiment panel, I stamped the set’s mortarboard image in gray ink. After carefully cutting it out, I added a teeny, tiny silver brad to the top where the tassel meets the mortarboard, then used foam tape to attach the piece to the card. It would be easy to reproduce this card to match the school colors for any graduate to make an extra-personal card.
