It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This week, Lynn’s brought us a pretty color palette to try—Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, Pacific Point, and Elegant Eggplant. I used this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches along with some new stamps from Clear and Simple Stamps.
I used CSS’s new Imprint 1 impression plate on the turquoise panel—so pretty! A lighter blue strip is layered over the embossed panel. I wrapped a strip of green satin ribbon over the panels, then added a layered purple flower from the Flower Buds set to the ribbon instead of a bow. If you look closely, you might notice that the flower matches one of the ones on the impression plate. The “thank you” sentiment from the All Occasions 1 set is stamped at the bottom of the light blue panel in dark turquoise ink—it looks lighter in the photo, but IRL, it’s a pretty close match to Pacific Point.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD191.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the rest of the talented Color Throwdown team and May’s guestie, Kittie Caracciolo:
