I Mustache You

I wasn't totally thrilled with the card I did for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge, so I gave the challenge a second try today--and I'm happy to report that I'm much happier with the outcome this time!  For my second version, I used one of the mustaches from The Mustache Set as my image beginning with "M" and the pennant die in a somewhat creative way to create a clean and simple birthday card.

I stamped one of the set's mustache images in brown ink on a kraft cardstock scrap, then used the matching Mustaches CutUps die to cut out the image.  I cut out one of each of the smaller CutUps Pennant die pieces as well, then embossed the smaller orange piece with a dotted pattern.  After layering the die cut pennant pieces, I arranged them and the mustache image on the cardfront, using the pennant as a party hat!  I stamped a few of the sentiment pieces from The Mustache Set on the cardfront next to the die cut pieces to get a fun birthday sentiment.

To add a little interest to the panel, I attached a strip of orange striped patterned paper along the bottom of the cardfront.  I wrapped a little orange baker's twine around the patterned paper strip and secured it with a matching twine bow.

Be sure to check out all of the challenge details on Alma's blog--you don't want to miss out on your chance to win this week's Cat Cash prize!
