August Waltzingmouse Blog Party
I’m joining in on this month’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party with this fun birthday themed card. I used this week’s CPS sketch (loosely!) along with the Playful Pinwheels set for this clean and simple design.
The pinwheel is stamped on white cardstock and filled in with the matching pieces in red and yellow inks. Since I used a dotted pattern on the pinwheel, I used a dotted patterned paper to cover most of the yellow card base.
Before adhering the pinwheel to the cardfront with foam tape, I cut apart a big crystal flourish and positioned the pieces so that they’d peek out from underneath it once it was in place. I used a narrow cardstock scrap I found on my table to make a stick for the pinwheel. The set’s “celebrate” sentiment is stamped in black ink next to the pinwheel and now the card's ready for a birthday!
Materials Used:
Playful Pinwheels stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Daffodil Delight and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Memento Tuxedo Black, Love Letter, and Dandelion inks, Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Miss Caroline-Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); clear crystal, clear crystal flourish (Recollections); foam tape
