Doily Congratulations

Here's my card for the current Market Street Stamps Paint the Town challenge.  I used the color palette to create this pretty congratulations card.

I used the large doily stamp two different ways here. First, I inked up the back of the clear stamp, then stamped it off once before stamping it on a cream panel.  Then, I flipped the stamp over on my clear block, inked the design, and stamped it over the solid image to get a pretty two-toned look.  I repeated this with different colors until I'd filled the whole panel.  The stamped panel's set on a kraft card base, matching the color of the Toffee Crunch stamped doily.

I used the same Toffee Crunch ink to stamp the "congratulations" sentiment from the Simple Salutations set on a small cream strip.  The strip's layered on a dark brown panel and edged along the bottom with a little golden yellow ruffled trim.  After setting it on the cardfront, I accented the sentiment with a trio of twine threaded blue buttons.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersMarket Street Stamps Simple Salutations stamp set, Tsukineko Memento Cantaloupe and Toffee Crunch inks, Maya Road golden yellow ruffle edge trim, Lawn Fawn natural hemp twine

other:  Marina Mist Classic ink, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); blue buttons
