Hey Dude

Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Smooches Sparks Cool Shades color challenge. I combined the challenge with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch for this seasonal card.

I used the Frankenstein image from the Halloweenies stamp set as my focal image. He’s colored with Copic markers, cut out, and adhered to the card with dimensional dots.

A strip of multicolored striped paper that includes all the challenge colors (yes, there’s even a reddish shade if you look closely!) sits behind the image. The stripes are broken up a bit with a piece of orange corduroy ribbon. A green dotted panel that matches the color I used for the card base sits at the top of the striped panel. Using words from the Boob Tubes and Word Salad sets, I stamped the “hey dude” sentiment in green ink on the edge of a fancy edged label die cut piece. I the panel's bottom edge under the top of the striped patterned paper strip to finish off the card.
